Early in 1955 State Deputy Walter Graveline suggested District Deputy George Morris
That Davison might be ready for a Knights of Columbus Council.  The first Contact
was between District Deputy and Brother Edward Hallaran during a luncheon at the
Green Nook Restaurant, corner if Davison Road and State Street. Plans were made
to contact Father Edward Donahue, Pastor of St. John's Parish .and to publish a notice of intent
in the Parish Bulletin.  A great deal of credit is due Edward Hallaran for his efforts in
 talking to possible candidates and their wives.  Orientation meeting were held in the Parish Hall
for prospective members. with District Deputy George Morris explaining the purpose of the Order.
Insurance Representive Thaddeus Butkowski, PDD Ed.  Barrett and Clarence Weisenberger
talked about the Insurance Program.

The Admission Degree was held in the Msgr. Patrick Dunnigan Council 695 Chambers, Flint
July 4th, 1955 with 84 Charter members

First Organization Meeting held August 2nd, 1955 with 51 Brothers in attendance.
